D24 Durian Basque Burnt Cheesecake from The Orchard Cafe

Originating from Spain, the burnt Basque cheesecake is a crustless cheesecake baked at a high temperature which has gained popularity over the last few years.

Inspired by Orchard Hotel Singapore Pastry team’s love for the ‘King of Fruits’, more popularly known as Durian, this uniquely Singaporean cheesecake hits all the right notes with a creamy, custard-like interior full of D24 durian.

As one of the most popular durian varieties, the D24 durian has a pale yellow flesh with a rich and creamy texture. Gula Melaka and coconut milk is also added to help blend the taste of durian and cream cheese together into one creamy delicacy!
